Corrosion-resistant cartridge valves

Sun Hydraulics is well known as a source for high-performance cartridge valves serving a wide variety of applications. But did you know that Sun’s cartridge valves are available in corrosion-resistant materials?

Corrosion-resistant materials generally involve stainless steels, which add substantial cost to finished components. But after thorough studies and extensive testing, Sun Hydraulics engineers and designers opted to use lean duplex stainless steel (LDX) for valve bodies. LDX is twice as strong as 316 stainless, yet exhibits similar corrosion resistance. The cost savings from using this and other carefully selected materials are passed on to you.

Extend cylinder speed with regeneration circuits
The latest chapter in Bud Trinkel's Fluid Power Circuits Explained is now available. We now launch "Chapter 17: Regeneration Circuits" here, which introduces regeneration circuits. These fluid power devices can double the extension speed of a single-rod cylinder without using a larger pump. This means that regeneration circuits save money because a smaller pump, motor, and tank can produce the desired cycle time. Bud's first book, Fluid Power Basics, also features 22 chapters discussing critical basic knowledge on fluid power technology and components. To read any of the 22 chapters, click here.
