Black Bi-Lene coating protects fittings against rust and other corrosion. It is a blend of fluoropolymer, engineered plastics, and corrosion inhibitors. It provides low friction, strong adhesion, high resistance to wear and abrasion, and strong resistance to corrosion, chipping and hostile environmental conditions, such as extreme weather conditions, sunlight, and salt water. Field and lab tests show it resists corrosion beyond 1600 hr of exposure to salt spray fog in conformance with ASTM B117. It accommodates temperatures from –420° to 500°F.
