Sauer-Danfoss creates new directional control valves business Appeared in print as "Sauer-Danfoss creates new valves business"

Sauer-Danfoss Inc., Ames, Iowa, has created a ‘stand-alone’ business, named Valmova, which will manufacture and sell directional control valves. The valves had been manufactured and marketed within the central Sauer-Danfoss organization.

According to Sven Ruder, president and CEO of Sauer-Danfoss, “Through our growing applications expertise and conversations with customers, we discovered that there are tangible differences for this product line, especially in terms of customer needs. Now Valmova will bring an enhanced focus on additional features and functionality.”

Domenico Traverso, vice president, Stand-Alone Businesses, named Rinaldo Fernandes as director of Valmova. Fernandes will manage all aspects of the Valmova business, including production facilities in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, and Pune, India. Traverso says the new business will focus on changing the product line, including such additional features as load-sense and higher performance, with virtually zero leakage and higher pressure limits.
