Tight control with air clutches
A pneumatic clutch can easily adjust the torque of a shaft remotely or while a machine is running. A and A Manufacutring’s Polyclutch Slip-Aire pneumatic slip clutch does just that. These air actuated clutches feature long-life friction plates (between 20 and 30 million cycles) and ensure constant torque or tension.
Slip-Aire clutches accommodate shaft sizes up to 5⁄8 in. and torque capacities to 300 lb-in. The bi-directional clutches come in fixed, adjustable, and custom designs and do not need lubrication.
Daman launches redesigned website
Daman Products Co. has launched a completely revamped website, featuring a graphical interface and easier navigation. Users can view the standard product catalog online or download a PDF, but a new interactive tool allows users to find a standard or custom product through its online "CADalog." Users can either enter a part number or build a product by selecting product types, then going in deeper to select materials, patterns, product specifications and see CAD drawings.
Counterbalance valves
Updated portfolio of counterbalance valves includes re-introduction of VCB product line, which pilots on port 1 (nose of the valve), allowing for a slimmer dual counterbalance design. Four sizes are rated for 350 bar (5075 psi). Updated 20 size CB20-HV is the company’s largest hydraulically vented cartridge valve and is capable of 266 lpm (70 gpm). Pre-engineered dual-counterbalance HICs of each valve are also being introduced. They are also rated for 350 bar (5075 psi).
Pneumatic valves
Low-power Isonic V2 direct-acting, solenoid-operated valves are available in normally-open and normally-closed configurations. They can be used to control vacuum and positive pressures at flow rates up to 0.05 CV. Molded from high-performance thermoplastic, they provide heat, impact and moisture resistance. It reduces power consumption by 60%, extending the life of battery-operated equipment and lowering costs.
Price Engineering continues to expand
Price Engineering recently expanded its repair, rebuild, retail, and field service operations, with the opening of a 15,000-ft2 addition at its headquarters in Hartland, Wis. The new addition will also serve as the central location for Price On-Site, which provides in-plant and remote field services within Wisconsin and the U.S.
Axial piston pumps
V60N-130 is the newest of the V60N series of axial piston pumps, with four sizes with displacement volumes up to 8 in.3/rev, working pressures of up to 5800 psi and peak pressures up to 6500 psi. All built with swash plates, they provide the required displacement volume without over or under dimensioning the pump output.
High-flow electronic valves
Clippard Minimatic Electronic valves and manifolds provide a complete system for efficient interface with electric and electronic circuits for many applications. They provide an air flow of 1.4 scfm @ 100 psig, more than twice the flow of Clippard’s trusted EC/EV/ET valve series. Optional 1.1 scfm @ 50 psig and 0.95 scfm @ 25 psig flow models are also available.

New spiral hydraulic hose for high-pressure applications
Tuff Spiral Flex hydraulic hose from Kurt Hydraulics, Lyman, Neb., is engineered for rugged, high pressure hydraulic applications up to 6235 psi. Designed for applications with minimal space, its design provides bend capacity of 8.25 to 9.5 in., depending on hose diameter selected. It is available in diameters of ¾-, 1- and 1¼-in. ID, and can be combined with many Kurt coupling styles that are specifically designed for heavy duty applications where shock and vibration are present.
Oil filter elements
Oil filter elements remove solid particles, water, sludge, varnish and oxidation residues. Micro-level M series is rated for 2 µm absolute for ß2 >200. Six models are available for hydraulic systems and provide NAS 6 (ISO 16/14/12) or better. Micro-filtration offers an axial flow that creates a 114-mm thick filter build-up.
High-pressure hose reel
Hand crank and motorized HP1125 series reels include an upgraded swivel for high pressure applications. They are rated for operating pressure to 5000 psi, in 1⁄2- and 3⁄4-in. models. External fluid path configured with an electroless nickel plated steel 90° full-flow NPT swivel inlet.
Energy-saving dryers
D-EC energy-saving refrigerated compressed air dryers are available in eight models, ranging in capacities from 10 to 125 scfm. They are ideal for small commercial compressed air users. Thermal mass stores cold energy, providing enhanced operating efficiency over other non-cycling products.
Custom hydraulic cylinders
Engineered large bore hydraulic cylinders are custom designed and manufactured and available in bore sizes from 10 to 26 in. with strokes from 1000 to 420,000 in. They are rated for pressures to 10,000 psi. Custom rod coatings include chrome, nickel-chrome, stainless steel, and laser cladding.
