Custom hydraulic cylinders
Engineered large bore hydraulic cylinders are custom designed and manufactured and available in bore sizes from 10 to 26 in. with strokes from 1000 to 420,000 in. They are rated for pressures to 10,000 psi. Custom rod coatings include chrome, nickel-chrome, stainless steel, and laser cladding.
BSI inclination (tilt) sensors feature a non-contact absolute measuring principle, offering high repeat accuracy, precision and low temperature drift. They provide continuous positioning of rotational movements, measuring the deviation on a horizontal axis up to 360°.
Pneumatic stopper cylinders
Stopper cylinders are available in seven rod-end styles with strokes of 20 and 30 mm and in 32, 40, and 50-mm bores. Shock absorbers are standard on lever/roller-style models; direction of rollers is adjustable. All styles feature magnetic pistons so magnetic sensors can be mounted on cylinder surfaces when input signals are required for controllers.
High-pressure solenoid valves
HSV high-pressure solenoid valves offer high power density and long life. Available in 2-way poppet and spool designs in standard -10 size cavity and -12, -16 and -20 size cavity poppet designs. They are rated for pressures to 350 bar and feature high flow capacities for each size.
Hose guards
Four styles of hose protection for hydraulic hose and coupling systems stop premature failure from wear, abrasion, and deep cuts. Spring Wire Guard resists hose kinking and distributes bending pressure over hose length. Spiral Steel Wrap ...
Grippers allow for high-speed testing

Automation specialist PCE Automation Ltd., Beccles, England, offers a unique high-speed machine for testing medical inflation check valves. The one-way valves are used by the medical device industry to inflate or deflate balloons or cuffs, which are built into critical airway management devices such as endotracheal tubes, tracheostomy tubes and urology catheters.

Bauma 2013 puts a spotlight on efficiency

Bauma 2013, the 30th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles, and Construction Equipment, will be held April 15-21 in Munich.

The event features 570,000 m2 of exhibition space, with almost 3300 exhibitors. These exhibitors are structured into four main categories, with a variety of providers under each area:

Hannover Fair brings it all together

Hannover Fair, which runs April 8-12, will feature 11 trade fairs this year under the “Integrated Industry” banner, as it focuses on the growing integration of machines, industrial equipment, work pieces, and system components.

This year’s fairs include Motion Drive & Automation (MDA),which is home to hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission and control companies. The key product categories include pumps, motors, transmissions, drive system components, clutches and braking systems, roller bearings, and gears.

Fluid Power Conference & Expo: Fantastic four
Hydraulics & Pneumatics will offer its Fluid Power Conference & Expo (FPCE) four times this year. The first occurrence will be co-located at WasteExpo, the largest event in the waste management industry, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, May 20-23. Conference topics will include hydraulic fundamentals, symbols, circuits, schematics, and troubleshooting, presented by CFC Industrial Training’s instructors. Fluid power companies will also present, and will exhibit in the Fluid Power Pavilion.
Electrohydraulic servoactuators
Digital servocylinders provide positioning of closed-loop control for any hydraulic axis with optional alternated position and pressure/force controls. They include a low-friction servocylinder with integral position/pressure/force transducers and high-performance servoproportional valve with on-board electronic driver and controller.
Bio-hydraulic fluid earns carbon-free certification
BLC 710 bio-hydraulic fluid is the first hydraulic oil to earn Carbon-free certification from and NSF Sustainability. Vegetable-based oil has a viscosity index of 200 and a pour point of –35°C. Its viscosity is 44 cSt at 40°C and 10 cSt at 100°C. Ashless ISO 46 fluid is greater than 60% biodegradable in 28 days. It is available in 20, 205, and 1000 L.
Kurt Hydraulics launches redesigned website

Kurt Hydraulics, Lyman, Neb., has launched a newly redesigned and expanded website at The site showcases a revamped brand identity as a leading designer and manufacturer of hydraulic couplings and hoses.

ISO released two new technical standards

Two new technical documents have recently been published from ISO and are now available from the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA).

Coal Prep 2013 increases size, breadth of event

Coal Prep, the only annual trade show and conference in the U.S. dedicated to coal preparation and processing, and the Kentucky Coal Association (KCA), announced on Feb. 14 that they will partner to launch the "KCA Symposium," a new one-day forum focused on delivering more business intelligence and insights for coal preparation and mining professionals during the Coal Prep International Exhibition and Conference 2013, April 29 - May 2 in Lexington, Ky.
