2010 Fluid Power Conference & Expo First Day

The 2010 Fluid Power Conference & Expo is taking place at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Cleveland, Ohio home of Hydraulics & Pneumatics magazine.

With our industrial economy still in recovery, the show was lighter than usual in temrs of participation, but the content of the seminar sessions were as good as any previous event. The featured speakers on the first day were Bob O'Rourke of Dura Bar who presented a seminar on Ductile Iron as a Steel Alternative and all of the implications that has on fluid power components.

A NEW Design of Solenoid Valves was presented by exhibitor James Wang of Sprutan Group. Finally, Scott Frost of CEJN Industrial spoke on Medium Pressure Hydraulics.

While the crowd was a little lighter than our usual crowd, they were treated to excellent content. Jack Johnson of IDAS and Tom Wanke of MSOE also gave their expert talks and will continue their presentations on the second day. The first day was a success.
