This year, the AG Connect Expo was held over a weekend. At first, I thought that was a curious choice for the show organizers. After attending the Saturday session, I realized that this was very good choice. The attendance for this second-year event was up considerably from the first year which was held entirely during the week
The organizers obviously understood that a large crowd of interested attendees are available on the weekends for such a show. Many farming experts and machinery operators were in attendance, probably because it was normally their day away from farming.
Case IH had an extremely large exhibit at the Ag Connect. On Saturday, they presented a keynote address in their booth area by retired Army General Wesley Clark. He spoke about our need to reduce dependence on foreign oil by exploring and employing energy efficiency.
I was particulary impressed with a cotton picker on display in the Case IH both. This was one of the biggest, coolest, most sophisticated pieces of agricultural machinery that I have ever seen. There were many, many such displays at this years show. - Michael Ference's blog
