AgConnect continues to grow

Two years ago, I remember leaving my daughter for the first time, as I attended AgConnect, the annual agricultural farm machinery show produced by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. It's hard to believe that two years have passed that quickly, but the event is once again fast approaching.

This year, it will be held January 29-31, 2013, at the Kansas City Convention Center. Show organizers say it will be the largest show yet, with more than 300 exhibitors on board so far, including a number of key fluid power manufacturers.

Of all the machinery that uses hydraulics and pneumatics, agricultural machines are often the most unique. This event gives attendees an opportunity to see new machines up close and personal. I got a real kick out of all the attendees taking pictures posing in front of them, but more importantly, climbing up inside the machines and seeing how they work.

I won't be leaving my daughter to attend AgConnect next month, but part of me wishes I was. It's a great event with lots of cool machinery and components to check out.

Visit our Events page for more details about the event itself.
