A recent study by our Design Engineering Group here at Penton Media asked readers what subjects they would be interested in learning more about. The results showed, fluid power cylinders/valves, smart pneumatics, leak-free systems, and contamination & filtration in that order.
Actually, we know that our readers are interested in knowing about all aspects of fluid power systems but this was a survey with a ranking of a list of subjects. It is notable that cylinders and valves which are the foundations of fluid power are still the number one category. Engineers and technicians feel that they never have enough training on the basics.
