Online Buyers Guides and Enhanced Listings – Just as free listings in print publications are very important and need to be taken advantage of, online listings are equally important. Again, most business-to-business publication offer some type of free buyers guide or listings of available products. These should always be taken advantage of because of their capability of bringing the advertiser new business.

Most or all of these online listings offered by business-to-business magazines also offer enhanced listings to attract attention to the listed products. These sometimes take the form of boldfaced or color-coded listings or even call ads. This type of advertising is excellent point of reference advertising that directs the user to the advertiser’s company and offers the opportunity to go to their website for more information.

This type of advertising is usually very inexpensive and very effective. The ads or listings need to be reviewed and renewed regularly. The publication or website will send e-mail announcements for updates on these listings and they need to be paid careful attention by the advertiser on a regular basis.
