The Corner

After many years of attending the NFPA Economic Outlook Conference, I have become very familiar with the 12-month over 12-month running rate of change report that Alan Beaulieu, noted economist, has taught.

The corner is finally being turned. This does not meant that we are seeing a positive rate of change yet, but it does mean that we are seeing a less negative rate of change. This is also true in the publishing business. We have finally begun turn the corner and head into phase A, the upturn.

This is exciting because we can look forward to a steady improvement followed by a positive rate of change which is phase B. Now, more than ever, companies need to invest in their future. Now is the time to advertise and promote to take advantage of the recover.

The corner is being turned.
