I recently began using Facebook just to try it out and see what potential that it has. I realize it has great potential.
Many years ago, when I was getting my BA in Communication at Cleveland State University, one of my professors told the class "I am not sure of the details but the computer, telephone lines, and TV screens will some day come together for some very exciting technology. He was mostly right.
The internet has become a focus of modern life in 2008 and it continues to change and improve. I think that Facebook or My Space are precursors for some potentially exciting new technology that can link customers, sellers, and communities of both.
Facebook offers users a great opportunity to stay in touch with many friends and acquaintenances on an ongoing basis with pictures, sayings, videos, games, and much more. Wouldn't it make sense for companies to create such networks for their customers?
I wonder what my professor would say.
