Fluid Power Challenge

One of the many interesting ideas presented at this year's National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) Annual Conference was the Fluid Power Challenge program sponsored by NFPA. It is a program designed for eighth grade students around the country.

It challenges students to solve mechanical problems using very basic fluid power technology. We were shown video of the program and given a detailed description by Bill Parks, President of Deltrol Fluid Products. Bill has been actively involved with Fluid Power Challenge and his passion for the program came through loud and clear.

This program is great for the students but it is also very significant for the fluid power industry. It plants the seeds of interst in engaging young minds that fluid power is a very interesting and fun design choice.
