Fluid Power Conference & Expo/Waste Expo Update

I never saw so many garbage trucks under one roof before. The Waste Expo show is a very impressive presentation of waste collection, recycling, and trash processing equipment. The attendance on the first day was very good.

The Fluid Power Conference & Expo is being held concurrently with the Waste Expo and our sessions got underway with a presentation by Tom Wanke of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Tom did his usual great job in the opening session on explaining the Basics of Hydraulics to the audience of engineering people from the waste management industry. He makes hydraulics seem simple.

We had two other presentations on the first day of the event. Armin Geist of Argo Hytos gave a very informative seminar on hydraulic filtration and Randy Wildner of Attica Hyraulic Exchange presented a talk on proportional valves.

The booth traffic was great all day long and many excellent contacts were made by our exhibitors. To top it off, it was all held in Las Vegas. Another successful fluid power event.
