Hydraulics & Pneumatics pitched a fastball dead-nuts across the plate when they asked me to write a blog here on hydraulicspneumatics.com. I stepped forward to transfer my not-insignificant bulk and inertia as I swung my Louisville Slugger, connecting with five ounces of leather and cork, catapulting it into the upper deck.
Who am I kidding? I couldn’t connect with a fastball even if you threw it at me while I was wearing a Velcro jumpsuit and you hot glued the ball with cashmere yarn. However, when they asked me to blog for them, I did express my pleasure with my patented open-mouthed goofy grin. I may not be a natural athlete, but I do love writing about fluid power.
I’m not entirely new to writing for Hydraulics & Pneumatics, and observant amongst you will have noticed I write a monthly Fluid Power Tips article on maintenance, design and schematics etc., sent out in Fluid Power Monthly, Hydraulics & Pneumatics supplemental electronic e-newsletter. All of my articles can also be found on the website if you type “Josh Cosford” in the search box.
So why should you care what I have to say? I like to write about hydraulics. You like to read about hydraulics. Additionally, I will endeavor to write these blogs with enough humor to keep you interested and with enough information to keep your time from being wasted.

By no means am I the final word on fluid power consciousness; I’m just a guy who likes writing, knowing enough about the subject matter to fool you into believing I’m an expert (just kidding).
