Witnessing the millions of hopeful Americans who watched as history was made on the steps of the Capitol Building today, I can't help but to believe that great days are ahead for America. The inauguration of President Barack Obama is the beginning of a great chapter in American history.
President Obama will work on every aspect of this great country and, with a culture of cooperation, business and society will prosper. With a spirit of pride and belief in ourselves, we will move forward and return to the greatness that freedom makes possible.
I believe that all Americans will be empowered to work hard, take responsibility, and enjoy our liberty. President Obama will seek and use the advice of a great team of advisors and will listen to the will of Americans.
It is only fitting that we begin now to work our way out of this terrible financial mess. Now we will also restore our image around the world. Once again, we will be looked upon as an example of how democracy works for all.
