Great Insights at NFPA

Friday's sessions were kicked off with an interesting and helpful presentation by Karyn Ruth White titled "Laughing in the face of Stress," and she kept us laughing.

Her talk was more than that though as she gave us some timely and useful advice on dealing with stress. She tied her talk into the NFPA theme with the following structure as follows. N is for never let circumstance define you, F = e.v. or emotional viscosity, P means to practice presence where Ms. White recommends 30 seconds of eye contact to establish rapport, and A stands for attitude is destiny.

We can all use humor as a tool and "humortunities are plentiful in our business and personal lives. We just need to know how and when to appropriately use humor.

Great job Karyn.
