The Bureau of Labor Statistics today reported that the manufacturing sector of our economy has added some 17,000 jobs in March. While this is a relatively small number, we are still moving in the right direction.
After some devastating years for manufacturing employment, the upward movement is very welcome. My hope is that all of the markets served by fluid power technology continue to grow in employment. As the overall economy continues to grow, along with fluid power sales, my guess is that we will see continued employment growth through all of 2011.
