IFPE Conference Topics Reviewed

July 20, 2013
Abstracts submitted to IFPE Technical Committee reviewed.

One of the big events scheduled to be held in conjunction with IFPE 2014 March 4 to 8, 2014 in Las Vegas, is the IFPE Technical Conference, which will be held March 5 to 7.

Members of the IFPE Conference Technical Committee met July 18 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Grohmann Museum to review nearly 100 abstracts submitted for consideration to be presented at IFPE 2014. Each committee member reviewed several abstracts in advance, then notes for each paper were reviewed and discussed to be accepted, rejected, or held for further action by all members present.

Shown are members of the IFPE Technical Conference Committee. Left to right, bottom row: Ivan Sheffield, Tom Wanke, Steven Herzog, Jim Bollinger, Fred Biederman, John Berninger. Top row: Eric Lanke, Gary Baumgardner, Lee Hage, Hans Melief, Alan Hitchcox, Mike Gust, Jim Van de Ven, Steve Zumbusch, Charles Throckmorton. (Click image for larger view.)

Committee members who were present are shown at right. Also in attendance were Rebecca Kettlewell and Melissa Magestro of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), Denise Rockhill, of the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA), and Loretta Krenitsky, of MSOE. AEM is the managing agency for ConExpo-Con/Agg, and both organizations manage and IFPE. AEM also manages the International Construction & Equipment Exposition, which will be held in Lousiville October 1 to 3, 2013.

Committee members who were not present are Greg Luecke, Bob Gresham, Fabio Saposnik, Joe Albright, Victor De Negri, Bill Stanis, Jack Johnson, and Abbey Vijlee.
