Mixing It Up

A few weeks ago, I was walking out the front door of our Cleveland office building for lunch. Parked in front of the building were two large concrete mixer trucks awaiting their delivery assignment to a local construction site.

I made a mental note to discuss the hydraulic systems of concrete mixers with Alan Hitchcox, Editor of Hydraulics & Pneumatics, when I got back to the office. Alan often educates me on the marvels of hydraulics much like he educates our 50,000 qualified readers every month. I forgot to ask.

However, in the November issue of H&P, Alan produced an excellent review of the hydraulic system of a particularly interesting concrete mixer. I should have known that any hydraulic questions that I might have would eventually be answered in the pages of Hydraulics & Pneumatics.

That is what makes my job as publisher of the magazine fun. Whether it is concrete mixers, tree mulchers, amusement rides, or packaging machinery, I know that our editors and our advertisers have solutions to all of the needs in industry for moving loads accurately.

I look forward to learning even more in December. Thanks Alan.
