Momentum is Building

All of the markets served by fluid power technology and fluid power components are showing some improvement in 2010. The US Gross Domestic Product was up 5.9% in the fourth quarter of 2009. The US Stock market average is up and the Manufacturing Index is above 50 for several months in a row now.

At the Annual NFPA Conference last month, economist, Alan Beaulieu told the audience that we do have reason for optimism in the near term with all leading indicators pointing upward. He even advised the crowd to take advantage of this time in the business cycle that is moving upward by increasing marketing and advertising.

That is great advice because advertising will help you to position your company and products as market leaders. You now have the opportunity to gain market share by utilizing solid marketing campaigns.

The May issue of Hydraulics & Pneumatics will give you just that opportunity to promote to an audience of qualified designers and users of fluid power components, systems, materials, and related products. Please contact me for a lineup of our editorial coverage for May.

Every issue of Hydraulics & Pneumatics is 100% devoted to fluid power technology, it is our only business. Our audience is made up of qualified fluid power people who design, install, maintain, operate, and repair machinery and equipment powered by fluid power systems, both hydraulic and pneumatic.
