More about competitive advantages

In a previous post, I mentioned how important it is for companies to communicate their competitive advantages.  There are, indeed, many areas where a fluid power company can have a competitive advantage.  It does not necessarily need to be specific product qualites.

For some fluid power companies, their competitive advantage could be their excellent distributor network.  More specifically, it might be their communication and lead sharing program with their distribution system.  For other companies, it could be that they have excellent delivery time because of their production capacity.

Still others might want to boost about their innovative capabilities and reaction to market needs.  I meet with many companies whose custom product capability is their strength and their competitive advantage.  I also meet with companies whose volume of inventory and ability to fill large orders is their advantage.

Whatever a company's competitive advantage may be, now is the time to communicate it.
