More from AG CONNECT

The machinery on display at AG CONNECT 2011 in Atlanta last week was amazing. Not only are ag machines impressive because of their size, but because of their sophistication.

Obviously, a great deal of design engineering goes into every machine. After speaking with several manufacturers representatives at the show, I have a much better understanding of the scope of the design teams that are involved in every machine.

From hydraulics to engines to power trains, every detail of every machine is carefully considered for maximum efficiency and functionality. This becomes obvious from the up close examination of the machines.

I certainly learned a lot at AG CONNECT 2011 about how design engineers provide the technology to make agricultural production more efficient. I look forward to the next event.
