This is a word that is often misunderstood or misused with regards to work and careers. However, passion is what has made Hydraulics & Pneumatics a great magazine!
I have been here for a long time and have had the privilege of working with many excellent co-workers who have been passionate about their work. I clearly remember how important quality content was to Tobi Goldoftas, editor in the 1970s and 1980s. The same was true for my friends, Ned Stull, Dick Schneider, and Ed Jacobs, all great H&P editors from previous years.
On the advertising side, I learned a lot about being passionate about your work from Mike Nassif, Paul Rolnick, Art Bouhall, and Joe Bak just to name a few. In my years as Publisher, I have tried to perpetuate the passion and dedication that was handed down to me. My editorial team of Alan Hitchcox, Mary Gannon, and Ken Korane have continued that passion today and that is why we have enjoyed success.
Passion is a word that can be misunderstood. I have had the wonderful experience of working with passionate people in my years with the magazine and that contributes to why I am still here with H&P today!
