Pneumatics moves hard to handle foods

Of course, food handling and processing contines (and always will) to be an extremely important function in our world. Making the handling and processing easier, more efficient, and productive is often the job of fluid power technology.

In the March 2011 issue of Hydraulics & Pneumatics, we have an article on just this subject. Information for this article was supplied by Steve Santoriello of Allenair Corp. The article describes how an air-operated piston pump puts the squeeze on a variety of viscous liquids.

For more information about the components that will work with such pumps, please go to the Fluid Power Basics section of the H&P website. There you will find a comprehensive guide to all fluid power components.
