So many ways to learn .. or too much information?

There is good news and bad news about the explosion of digital information now available. The bad news, and you may be all too aware of it, is that lots of unwanted and useless information is sent your way every day. You get spam, you get unwanted e-newsletters, surveys, etc.

With the ease of sending information via blast e-mail, marketers all too often resort to this method of communicating. This can be annoying and it can also make useful communication more difficult.

The good news is that when useful information is needed, it is much easier to get. Take for example what we have to offer on Hydraulics & Pneumatics. In addition to our print magazine, we have an excellent website that includes lists of manufacturers, product tutorials, and all of our print content. It is all free. An interested engineer can find most needed info on the H&P site.

This is true for all information sources with a specific purpose. If a magazine or website is only in business for making money, it probably will not be the best information source. However, if a publication or website was founded to provide information, the good news is that the information is now more readily available to interested parties.

You be the judge ... learning opportunities enhanced, or TMI??
