New technical standards available from NFPA

Two technical documents have recently been published and are now available from the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA). NFPA created these standards as guides to aid manufacturers, consumers, and users in the fluid power industry.

ISO 1219 establishes basic elements for symbols and specifies rules for devising fluid power symbols for use on components and circuit designs. This part of ISO 1219 is a collective application standard for ISO’s 14617 series. In this part of ISO 1219, the symbols are designed in fixed dimensions to be used directly in data processing systems, which could result in different variants. The list price is $295, or $234 for NFPA members.

The ISO 3601 specifies the inside diameters, cross-sections, tolerances and designation codes for O-rings used in fluid power systems for general industrial and aerospace applications.  The list price is $169, or $134 for NFPA members.
