MSOE Fluid Power Institute 50th Anniversary

The Fluid Power Institute at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and has scheduled a commemorative event to take place July 12 at MSOE’s Todd Wehr Conference Center. In addition to presentation of awards, several noteworthy speakers will participate in the event.
The Fluid Power Institute was established in 1962 and has been a leading academic fluid power research laboratory in the nation. It provides undergraduates and graduate students the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment and assist with research and testing for fluid power companies and system evaluations for the U.S military.
John E. Duncan, President, Off-Road Driveline Technologies & Axle Systems at ZF Inc., will serve as master of ceremonies, and Thomas S. Wanke, Director of the Fluid Power Institute, will be awarded the first ever MSOE Fluid Power Achievement Award.
