ITI simulation tools are used for analyzing and optimizing the dynamic behavior of fluid power components and systems. Its device-oriented model libraries of hydraulic and pneumatic components allow fast and efficient model construction based on the circuit description of the system. Typical model structures include cylinders, valves, lines, pumps, motors and accumulators.
Features built into each component model include pressure-and temperature dependent fluid properties, nonlinear dynamics and flow behavior of valves, volumetric and mechanical efficiency of actuators, complex friction and end stop models of cylinders, as well as real gas behavior of accumulators. Furthermore, user-defined components can be created graphically from basic elements.
