I have been reading a lot lately about Social Media strategies and how they relate to overall marketing plans and strategies for all kinds of companies, including industrial manufacturers. The advice that I give to clients is that your company needs a strategy for dealing with and using Social Media to your best advantage.
The theme that I keep seeing whenever Social Media strategy is discussed is about first listening to what is being said about your company, products, and competitors before laying out a strategy. In "How to optimize with social media" - iMedia Connection, author Rebecca Denison discusses tools for social media and she states that "Social listening tools will help find individual social activities like tweets or Facebook posts related to your brand or campaign.
In other words, she is recommending using a listening program to learn about what is being commented or posted about your brand or campaign. In 7 Social Media-Inspired Content Marketing Lessons, author Heidi Cohen advises, "Do some research to discover what your prospects, customers, and the public want to know about your brand."
We at Hydraulics & Pneumatics now have a portfolio of products that will help your company with the listening portion of that Social Media strategy and it is called eListening. I would like to explain more about this to you so please give me a call.
