Our keynote speaker on Tuesday will be Eric Lanke, CEO of the National Fluid Power Association. He is responsible for setting NFPA's strategic direction and overseeing the programs and communications needed to achieve its objectives. His address is titled NFPA and the Future of the Fluid Power Industry. Eric will discuss how an integrated supply chain, new fluid power technologies, and a more-educated workforce will advance the effictiveness of fluid power technology.
Tom Wanke, CFPE, is the director of the Fluid Power Institute at the Milwaukee School of Engineering MSOE. In addition to being a fluid power instructor for many years, Tom has worked on projects in the following areas: component and system design; development and evaluation; field troubleshooting and failure analysis; and fluids, filtration, and contamination control.
He will deliver a two-part seminar on Hydraulic System Troubleshooting. The sessions will introduce a systematic approach to troubleshooting which identifies malfunctions and finds their most likely causes. The sessions will also introduce realistic system manfunctions and have attendees apply troubleshooting techniques they have learned..
