The first day of the FPDA/ISD Summit was a huge success. It was kicked off with a breakfast meeting that also included official business and changing of the board of directors. Congratulations to my friend Richard Neels of Hydraquip who completes his year as President. Great job Rich!
The incoming President for the next year is Steve Schwasnick of Western Integrated Technologies. It promises to be an interesting and productive year for the Fluid Power Distributors Association.
Next on the schedule of events was a keynote presentation by Dr. Bill Connerly who shed some insight on the current economic conditions that affect the industrial distribution community.
After an excellent lunch, there several breakout sessions from the University of Industrial Distribution including presentations by Dr. Mike Workman, Jim Pancero and Michael Marks. These sessions focused on sales channel success. The day ended with a Happy Hour networking opportunity and a multi-venue dine around.
