The most recent version of this study was conducted in 2012 and it had about 653 participants who responded to the questionnaire. Our audience at H&P is already verified by a BPA audited circulation statement so we can prove to our advertisers that we do deliver the print and digital issue to a qualified list of engineering and technical people every month. These readers do requalify or re-sign-up every year.
The Reader/Buyer Profile is done to verify that our readers do indeed qualify to receive the magazine every month because they are customers and prospective customers of our advertisers. They do buy, specify, our otherwise influence the purchase of fluid power components and systems. We break it down further into components groups specified by our readers such as cylinders of valves.
The study is made even more convincing by the verbatim comments by the respondents who tell us how valuable they find the magazine to be to them in their jobs.
