Proper maintenance is essential for the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic systems. Four times per year, H&P magazine features MRO best practices and advice for technicians responsible for hydraulic systems.
In our August issue, we have a feature on a hydraulic hose monitoring system. We have reported on this in the past as it is process that allows maintenance specialists to predict and prevent hose failure. About one third of H&P readers are involved in maintenance.
In another MRO story in our August issue, we have a practical application of good maintenance that involves an amusement park ride. The Top Thrill Dragster at Ohio's Cedar Point is operated with hydraulics and last off-season, the system was refurbished. When we participate in such amusements, we often take our safety for granted. It is with excellent MRO that our safety is guarded.
