At the 2010 Waste Expo Fluid Power Conference, Mike Gust of the Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power, gave a presentation on Research Trends That Will Impact the Waste Reduction Industry. In his talk, Mike gave an overview of the mission and current work of the program.

Included was a review of the work being done by CCEFP as it affects the waste industry including hydraulic hybrids. Hi discussed some of the areas of focus at CCEFP including filtration, accumulators, environmentally-friendly systems, and productivity improvements.
Georgia Tech University, an Atlanta university, is a partner in CCEFP and Mike talked about some of the projects going on there including efficient waste collection.
