The 2012 #IEOC presented by the National Fluid Power Association once again exceeded my very high expectations. My final shared takeaway is from Jim Meil of Eaton who gave the very last presentation.
In a nutshell, we should see some slow growth in a difficult economy. As Jim put it "Globally and locally, we are in muddle-through mode. There are many uncertainties but the fluid power industry continues with fairly steady performance.
If you are considering attending this event next year, let me strongly recommend it. For more information, visit the NFPA website recap. I learned a lot from expert presenters. I engaged in many, many meaningful converstations with customers, collegues, and friends.
The golf outing was fantastic despite the rain. Hydrauilcs & Pneumatics was a proud sponsor of the golf outing and the overall event. We did not win the $1,000 prize in the helicopter ball drop but it was not for lack of trying.
The food was great, the hotel was very accomodating, and the program was just super. Most of all, I really enjoyed seening many friends in the fluid power industry. Fantastic job NFPA!
