This March 2–4, truck enthusiasts will flood the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis for the 2016 Work Truck Show. Educational programming, including the newest educational additions of the Green Truck Summit begins March 1. The Green Truck Summit alternative fuels conference runs concurrently with The Work Truck Show to deliver the latest information on clean energy for commercial vehicles. Other new educational programs include, “Integrating Millennials into the Industry Businesses.” Featured events include Jay Leno’s keynote address at the President’s Breakfast & NTEA Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 3. Educational-package registrants attending Work Truck Show educational sessions can also choose from concurrent Green Truck Summit educational sessions.

Sponsored by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry, the show offers opportunities to choose from a range of industry-specific training and pick the brains of technical and engineering representatives while viewing vocational trucks and equipment. With more than 500,000 ft2of exhibit space, attendees should plan their itineraries ahead of time via the interactive floor plan provided on the website.

A new app also allows attendees to manage their time at the show from their smartphones. Features help users find booths, browse up-to-date educational sessions and schedules, and build a schedule. A new "attendee-messaging" feature enables users to communicate with other people at the show. The link for the app can be found on the website, worktruckshow.com.

Products at the show include truck chassis and bodies, cranes and aerial devices, power takeoffs, snow- and ice-control equipment, lift gates, and cargo-management solutions. Educational training and course topics will include workforce development and stability, maximizing return on equipment dollars, upcoming government regulations, current market and equipment trends, controlling fuel and operating costs, strategies to enhance fleet productivity, and vocational truck productivity and sustainability solutions.
