HEC-1500-E-R controller is designed for an extended temperature range (-40° to 80° C) and harsh environments. It is based on PLCon- a-chip technology, and offers programmable intelligence and a sealed, water-tight enclosure with plug connections. It features 8 to 32 Vdc input power. I/O includes six 8- to 32-Vdc inputs — two that are independently field selectable for sinking or sourcing and provide 40 kHz high-speed counting; two 10-bit analog channels field selectable for 0- to 5-Vdc, 0- to 10-Vdc, or 0- to 20-mA; and six digital/PWM outputs rated to four A.
It is RoHS lead-free compliant. Network communication is accomplished via CAN port (J1939 capable) or with a serial communication port which is field selectable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 configuration.
The standard enclosure is submersible to 3 ft and is screw and sub-plate mountable. The HEC-1500-E-R is programmed using EZ Ladder software, which supports ladder diagram with function block programming.
Typical industrial use includes control for engine driven pumps and compressors, spreaders, diesel powered mining equipment, agriculture, forestry, and marine application. The 8 to 32 VDC input power and wide operating temperature range (–40° to 80° C) is particularly useful for ease in utilization by off-highway platforms and outdoor applications where extreme ambient temperatures are the norm.
