A new entry-level compact excavator from Bobcat Co.,West Fargo, N.D,. offers hydraulics normally found only in high-end machines. Bobcat's model 329 features a dualoutlet piston pump with load sensing and torque limiting for constant digging forces without bogging down the engine. These controls allow operating the engine at its optimum speed to take full advantage of the engine's torque curve.
The 329 provides 14 gpm of auxiliary hydraulic flow and is powered by a liquid-cooled, 27.7 hp diesel engine. The 329 also has enough hydraulic muscle to handle a hydraulic breaker or hydraulic clamp attachment for demolition work or trenching buckets for digging.
